The Texas High School football season is near. Here are my the top uncommitted class of 2026 running back recruits to know going into this 2025 season, who could land more offers and commit during or after the season.
Javion Garrett , RB , Taylor , 6-1 / 215
Javion is our top uncommitted running back heading into this season. Currently has 11 Division I offers from schools like Cal, Memphis, Wyoming and others. Garrett is a large running back at 6-foot-1, 215lbs who runs the football downhill and can plow people over. Love the size on Javion and we think if he can finish runs with larger gains or in the endzone more often plenty of more schools will come calling for his services this season.
Davis Penn , RB , Southlake Carroll , 5-9 / 170
Davis is a three star rated running back and ranked in our top 25 running back in the state. With offers from Tulane, Rice, UTEP, Texas State, and others Penn is one of the rushing senior recruits coming into this season for the Southlake Carroll Dragons. A three year varsity player with over 2,500 yards rushing, and 49 rushing touchdown with most of them coming the last two season for Penn. Brother is currently an offensive linemen for Penn State and Davis will be playing on Saturdays soon as well.
Samaritan Cunningham , RB , Dekaney , 5-9 / 185
Samaritan is an unranked quarterback who plays like a three-star or four-star recruit. With offers from schools like Baylor, Oklahoma, and Syracuse, among others, Cunningham will have his choice of where he would like to continue his academic and athletic career after his senior season.
Trae Hill , RB , Cedar Park , 5-10 / 200
With several Division I offers Hill will undoubtedly will add to his recruiting stock this season. Hill has the ability to break runs off to the outside and take them all the way to the house. A running back who can run and catch out of the backfield and be utilized on offense many different ways. We really like this running back and believe Trae’s a special talent who can see some early playing time in college by his second year in college if not sooner.
Dazjhon Taylor , RB/ATH , Fort Bend Marshall , 5-9 / 160
Incarnate Word, Texas Tech, UNLV, and Utah have offered Tayor, and we suspect more will show interest in him this season. He’s fast and has blazing speed. An athletic running back who can often go untouched on runs to the end zone. Keep an eye on Dazjhon as he makes more of a name for himself this season and goes into this year as one of the top uncommitted running back recruits in the Lone Star state.
