Top Uncommitted Senior TXHSFB DBs Heading into this Season

By:

The Texas High School football season is near. Here are my the top uncommitted class of 2026 defensive back recruits to know going into this 2025 season, who could land more offers and commit during or after the season.

Marco Beltran, S, College Park, 5-10 / 168

Beltran has elite speed and is a threat on special teams. Currently has 9 offers and is uncommitted going into this season as one of our top rated defensive backs that has still yet to commit to a program. A ballhawking defensive back who might be a bit undersized as a safety, however, could project as a cornerback at the next level who can create turnovers and turn them into points for his team.

Garrett Stennett, CB, Weiss, 6-0 / 175

With 7 total Division I offers at the moment from schools like Colorado State, North Texas, Texas State and others Stennett has already made a name for himself as a next level caliber prospect. A defensive back who can come up with interectpions by reading the quarterbacks eyes, break fast in front of passes, and fly down hill to stop runs from ever progressing. Garrett is a well balanced defensive back who plays well against the run and pass. Ari

Jaylen Gordon, CB, Richland, 5-9 / 155

Arizona State, Baylor, SMU, and UTEP have offered Gordon this far and we suspect that number will increase this season in 2025. A top uncommitted Division I prospect who can make plays on special teams and defense with his elite speed and athleticism. Jaylen can play press or floated and come up with turnovers easily on defense as he makes interceptions look routine and then take them into the endzone for six points. Keep an eye on this talented uncommitted recruit who will be playing on Saturdays at the next level soon.

Braylen Griffin, S, Lake Travis, 5-10 / 160

College coaches love recruits with pedigree and they can find one in Braylen whose dad, Michael Griffin was a star defensive back for the Texas Longhorns and played in the NFL. Braylen is a physcial corner and can jam receivers at the line of scrimmage, come up with big hits, and trail receivers stride for stride and make a play on the ball.
