Furthermore, we have identified additional noteworthy recruits to monitor as we look forward to the upcoming fall season of 2025, during which these athletes will have the opportunity to further showcase their abilities and potentially enhance their rankings.

Top Five 2028 Quarterback Recruits

#1. Tristin “TK” Gaines, QB, Waller, 6-1 / 175

Tristin has garnered an impressive total of seven early Division I offers from institutions such as Baylor, Houston, SMU, and TCU, among others. Primarily from in-state schools, these offers reflect a desire to retain talent within Texas. Gaines possesses a strong arm characterized by significant strength, velocity, and accuracy. In 2024, Tristin was recognized as the Offensive Newcomer of the Year in the Texas District 16-6A during his freshman year.

#2. Jaxon Schad, QB, Weiss, 5-11 / 160

At present, Jaxon Schad from Weiss has received five early Division I offers from institutions such as Houston, UNT, SMU, Texas Tech, and UTSA. During the previous season, Schad recorded over 2,600 passing yards, achieving 32 passing touchdowns along with 3 rushing touchdowns, contributing significantly to his overall production (statistics sourced from 247sports). Schad is a highly productive and impressive athlete who is poised to be a valuable asset for Weiss in the years ahead and has the potential to rank among the nation’s elite.

#3. Carter Zingelmann, QB, Coppell, 6-5 / 215

Given Zinegelmann’s impressive height of 6 feet 5 inches and weight of 215 pounds, it is not surprising that several college football programs have shown early interest in Coppell’s promising young quarterback. Baylor, Houston, Midwestern State, and UTSA have extended offers to Carter.

#4. Hudson Tomcheck, QB, Southlake Carroll, 6-3 / 175

One quarterback who has recently attracted significant attention is Tomcheck, a player for the Southlake Carroll Dragons, a program recognized for developing elite quarterbacks and other positions. Early offers have been extended to Tomcheck from Baylor, Houston, and SMU, and it is noteworthy that his father played for the Baylor Bears from 1999 to 2002. With a strong pedigree and impressive arm talent, Hudson is poised to stand out this fall and in the years ahead.

#5. Hayes Hackney, QB, Prosper Walnut Grove, 5-10 / 160

Despite his smaller stature, this quarterback prospect possesses significant potential for growth and development. Hayes has garnered the interest of numerous prestigious college football programs due to his remarkable arm strength.
