The season kicks off this week, and it’s time to learn about some of the top junior recruits returning this season in the Lone Star State. These junior quarterbacks are poised to rise in our rankings and attract attention from college football recruiting boards. If you’re as excited for this season’s return as we are, you’ll love getting to know which quarterbacks will be leading their teams to victory.
Luke Babin , QB , Woodville , 6-2 / 175
Luke has six Division I offers at the moment after an impressive 2024 season. He threw for over 2,000 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only 8 interceptions last season. Babin possesses all the arm talent of a next-level quarterback and can make all the throws at every level of the field with strong velocity, touch, and accuracy. Look for Luke to have a breakout season this year, and for college coaches nationwide to start taking notice.
Braden Baker , QB , Cy Ranch , 6-4 / 170
Right off the bat, Baker checks all the boxes as a Division I talented quarterback at 6-foot-4 and 170 lbs. He is a prototypical quarterback with next-level arm talent to match his size. Baylor, Houston, LA Tech, and UTSA have all offered Baker so far, and we suspect more offers will come this season. As a two-year varsity player with plenty of playing time and experience, Baker has a leg up on the competition. He can stand in the pocket and dissect defenses with his arm, and he isn’t afraid to tuck the football and run for first downs or touchdowns.
Julian Navarrete , QB , Champion , 5-10 / 165
Coming into this season with plenty of Division I interest and two offers, Navarrette is a solid quarterback who can sling the football. His film speaks for itself, and he can easily launch the ball over 50 yards, hitting receivers in stride deep down the field. I loved his ability to work the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield and moving the ball with ease. Look for Julian to be a star player this season and for years to come.
Kaine Hill , QB , Springtown , 5-11 / 160
Kaine Hill is a name everyone should know—a quarterback to watch this season for Springtown. He has a strong arm and can easily throw the ball over fifty yards downfield. There’s no shortage of what this quarterback can do; he spreads the ball around and makes all the throws at every level look routine. His film from last season is very impressive, and we believe this season will be his breakout year.
Jared Hagger , QB , Cypress Springs , 6-1, 200
Hagger has two offers as he enters this season, one from the Ragin Cajuns and another from UTEP. We suspect more will come for this talented QB.
Isaiah Rasheed , QB , Atascocita , 6-0 / 165
Not much film is available on Rasheed right now; however, Arizona has extended an offer, so the talent is definitely there. Keep an eye on this rising QB this season.
