To maintain a competitive advantage, numerous college football programs are proactively recruiting underclassmen, including those from the class of 2028, at an early stage.

Amir Adkinson, LB, Lancaster, 6-1 / 195

At the moment, Adkinson is one of the top recruits in the class of 2028 for linebackers in Texas, with a total of 8 Division I offers. Schools like Baylor, Houston, Nebraska, and Oregon State, among others, have all extended offers to Amir. He is a well-balanced linebacker who can shoot gaps, make tackles for loss, and has the athleticism to create turnovers. Expect Amir to be a standout recruit this season and make a significant impact for the Lancaster Tigers.

Brayden Bonik, RB / ATH, Ridge Point, 6-0 / 185

Bonik is an athlete who can dominate on both sides of the ball at running back and at linebacker. We recently featured him on our top class of 2028 running backs, detailing his athleticism and recruiting journey up to this point. A highly rated and recruited player who can no doubt be among the best in his class at multiple positions. It is still unclear, however, which position he projects best to at the next level of college football; time and more tape will tell.

Rhyder Allison-Butler, LB, Smithson Valley, 5-10 / 190

Smithson Valley’s own Rhyder Allison-Butler is a talented linebacker known for his athleticism and run-stopping skills. He has already attracted significant interest from Division I programs and has recently received his first offers from schools like UNLV and UT Martin. With more game tape, expect Rhyder to make headlines and boost his recruiting stock this fall.

Lincoln Dyke, LB, Mount Pleasant, 6-2 / 205

With an impressive size, and frame for being a young athlete, Lincoln is already turning heads and earning much attention from the next level. With an early offer from Texas Tech, Dyke could be amoung the top names in his class at the linebacker position for years to come. Not much tape on him at the moment, however, this season should open the flood gates of college interest and potentially scholarship offers for Lincoln.

Camden Yard Singleton, LB / ATH, Midland Legacy, 6-2 / 175

Another impressively built linebacker prospect and recruit with a lean athletic build, long arms, lengthy frame, and one that looks intimidating on the defensive side of the ball. We think Camden could be special and end up surpassing some guys on college football recruiting boards as well as our rankings this fall.
