Some of the top high school football recruits can be found in the state of Texas, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area.
Today, we have hand-picked a few of the top class of 2026 wide receiver prospects in and around the Dallas, Texas area.
Matthew McClain, WR, Prestonwood Christian 6-1 / 190
Matthew is easily one of the top wideouts in his class and is flying under the radar at the moment. Recently, McClain has picked up multiple Division I offers from the top programs across the country, including Arkansas State, Washington, Rice to name a few.
There is no doubt that McClain will continue to pick up more interest and offers this fall. A multi-sport athlete(basketball and football) who plays both ways on offense and defense at the cornerback position. With his athleticism bearing out on both sides of the ball, Matthew can high point catches using his basketball vertical ability to pluck the football over the head of cornerbacks and as a defender running stride for stride with receivers. McClain can shut down opposing wideouts and knows how to play and think like a receiver.

Jaylen Moore, WR , South Oak Cliff, 5-10 / 170
Jaylen is quick off the line of scrimmage and can catch with soft hands off-target or underthrown passes. Moore projects best to the next level of college football as a Division I prospect that can make defenses pay from the slot receiver position. He runs nice crisp routes, and his speed separates him easily from other defenders. A bit undersized, however, Jaylen has the necessary skills and ability that have started to garner him attention from programs across the country. Look for this speed receiver to make an impact on offense and score many points for the Golden Bears of South Oak Cliff this fall.

Brodie ClarK, WR, Azle Christian 5-9 / 150
Brodie can contribute heavily on offense. Last season, Clark had over 1,700 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns, according to him in only seven games played. A bit undersized at five foot nine, Bordie is a utility player who could play multiple positions at the next level. He displays good after-contact balance and speed. With the ball in his hand, Clark can rack up yards after the catch and knows how to make defenders miss in the open field.

The recurring theme of these wide receivers is their size and speed, and agility. Some say “speed kills” in football, and most if not all of these recruits have plenty of it on this list.
