Scouting Report
Takorian Scott is a hard-hitting, twitchy defensive back who shows a competitive edge on film and a willingness to strike that stands out for a 2028 prospect. At 5-9, 150, he’s still developing physically, but the play style is already built for Friday nights. Scott closes space with suddenness, triggers downhill with no hesitation, and consistently arrives with force. He tackles well in space and shows the type of short-area quickness that allows him to run down ball carriers from angles and erase yards after catch.
In coverage, Scott plays with mature feet and a technically sound base. His backpedal is under control, his hip flip is smooth, and he trails receivers with confidence. He does a strong job breaking in front of routes, playing through the ball, and disrupting catches—either by jarring the ball loose or positioning himself to generate turnovers. He can line up pressed or in off-man and shows the instincts to compete in both.
As he continues to grow, adding more size and cleanly eliminating shoestring tackles will elevate his reliability as a finisher. Further refinement in footwork, head-turn timing, and transition technique will help unlock Division I level consistency. Scott has the athletic traits, toughness, and ceiling to project as a future college defensive back with continued development.
