At 6-1, 175, he owns average size for a high school QB prospect but compensates with elite mechanics, consistent footwork, and high-level poise. His three-step drop and compact release stand out immediately—textbook in rhythm, balance, and timing. The arm strength is special: he can drive the football 50+ yards and hit receivers in stride with precision. Shepard’s ball placement and ability to layer throws show advanced touch, and he can deliver strikes rolling to either side with little loss in velocity.

What separates him is arm strenght, and pocket composure—staying calm under duress, keeping eyes downfield, and making anticipatory reads. He can make every throw at every level of the field and on the route tree with confidence and rhythm putting the football on a rope to recievers or dropping the football in a bucket down field to receivers in stride. Improvement to overall agility and short-area quickness to extend plays more consistently will raise Will’s recruiting stock further, avoiding unnecessary hits by sliding, and cut down on the occasional forced throw into double coverage.
