Scouting Report

Aaden Bodden brings a Division I frame and play style to the defensive line, checking the size, length, and explosiveness boxes early for a 2028 prospect. At 6-2, 245 with long arms and a naturally lengthy build, he carries the kind of frame colleges look for in hybrid DLs who can play inside or bump out to the edge depending on the front. His first step is a real weapon—sudden, twitchy, and violent enough to immediately stress offensive tackles. The burst he shows at the snap consistently forces blockers into recovery mode, and when he wins clean, he’s already in the backfield disrupting plays.
Bodden plays with power and contact confidence, striking ball carriers with real pop and finishing plays as a dependable open-field tackler. He holds his ground against the run, maintains gap integrity, and doesn’t get displaced easily. His motor stands out—he chases the ball with urgency and looks surprisingly light on his feet for his size. He can beat blocks with raw strength or natural athleticism, and when left unaccounted for, he stacks TFLs and sacks in a hurry.
The next step is refining technique to match the physical tools. His pad level rises out of his stance, costing leverage. Improving his punch, strike timing, and arm extension will help him shed blocks more efficiently. Adding a more complete toolbox—swim, push-pull, swat-rip—will take him from disruptive to dominant.
Bodden projects as an FBS–FCS Division I defensive lineman with real developmental upside.
