Garrett Splitt is a lean, athletic defensive end who plays with controlled aggression and strong awareness. He routinely disrupts the backfield, generating sacks, tackles for loss and quarterback pressures, while maintaining patience and gap integrity. Garrett’s ability to read plays without overpursuing makes him a reliable force against both the run and pass. He flashes natural timing to bat or swat balls at the line of scrimmage, showing versatility as a pass-rushing presence. While his current skill set projects him best as an interior defensive lineman at the next level, his athleticism provides flexibility for multiple schemes.
Size and physicality are areas for improvement, as Garrett has an average frame for a Division I defensive end, projects best to the interior of the defensive line. Adding functional lean mass will help him handle bigger blockers. Enhancing explosiveness, speed, and agility will elevate his overall impact. Developing a fuller pass-rush arsenal—including bull rush, swim, and punch-and-pull techniques—will allow him to win more one-on-one matchups. Projects to the Division I FBS to FCS or lower levels of college football and could transfer later on to the DI, FBS,FCS, level with further development and refinement of his game.
