We’re excited to kick off our rankings for the class of 2027 in Texas high school football. We’ve discovered some top-tier talent making a name for themselves, moving up in both rankings and recruiting boards. Today, we will highlight some of the standout safeties who had impressive seasons in 2024. Their recruiting stock is on the rise following spring football, and as we head into camp season. With coaches gaining more visibility on these players, we will identify those we believe will have breakout seasons this fall and continue to ascend in their careers.

Kane White-Tinsley , S , West Plains , 5-11 / 175
Kane has significantly increased his number of offers this summer, doubling from 6 Division I offers to 12 in just a matter of days following an outstanding 2024 season. Last fall, he was named a second-team all-state selection at defensive back by the Texas Sportswriters Association in Class 4A as a junior. He recorded a total of 55 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, and an impressive 9 interceptions. Kane has the ability to cover the entire backfield and possesses elite playmaking skills, particularly in generating turnovers. In the month of June alone, he has received offers from Sam Houston, Texas State, New Mexico State, New Mexico, North Dakota, and SFA, and we’re only halfway through the month. Kane’s recruiting stock has been on the rise and is expected to continue trending upward this fall and beyond.

Marco Beltran , S , College Park , 5-10 / 168
Spring football and the work Beltran put in last season have paid off, and he has seen his recruitment start to heat up this summer. In 2024, Marco recorded 76 total tackles, 45 solo tackles, 4 tackles for losses, 6 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and 3 defensive touchdowns—2 from interceptions and 1 from a fumble recovery. He is a ball-hawking defensive back with a great football IQ, capable of making a difference in games. His most recent offers come from Sacramento State, Houston Christian, Sam Houston State, and Army, bringing his total Division I offers to 9 thus far.

Aja Bradford , S , Lutheran South Academy , 6-1 / 190
Bradford is a versatile two-way player primarily recruited for defense. In 2024, over 11 games, he recorded 91 tackles, 1 interception, and 1.5 sacks. On offense, he had 53 carries for 379 yards and 7 touchdowns, along with 6 catches for 92 yards and 1 touchdown. Bradford has the size and talent to be a Division I recruit, and he could have a breakout season in 2025. To kick off the year, he earned offers from the UCLA Bruins and the Miami of Ohio RedHawks.
